Gopro HD Hero 2 Launch Review

Gopro has just launched a new camera.  Gopro HD Hero 2 was recently released and it offers a some upgrades from the original Gopro HD Hero Lineup.  The new features on the Gopro HD Hero 2 include a LCD screen, 11 mp sensor for 11 MP pictures, 2x faster image processing so you can now take 10 pics per second, Mini HDMI  out port, External Mic Jack, 2x better lens, battery warmer, 32GB SD Card Support and the option to use Wi-Fi accessory when it launches.  The Wi-Fi is set to launch in Feb 2012 with a price unknown at this time.  It will allow you to stream video and wireless remote.

The Gopro HD Hero 2 is exactly the same as the original Gopro HD Hero camera.  It`s essentially exactly the same footprint and casing and looks no different.  The new Hero 2 launch has dropped the pricing on all of the original Gopro HD Hero cameras, making the original lineup a great buy.  The question is do you want to save money or do you need the new features of the Hero 2.

Wi-Fi is cool but remember that it will cost you extra for the premium accessory when it launches and where would most people stream their video too?  About 90% of Gopro users I have spoken to have never used the still camera option and being able to take 10 pics a second for action is great, but no use when the camera is on my head.  HDMI port and 32 GB SD Card support are great features, but I put the card into my computer to edit anyways, so I`m not sure how much it would be used. The LCD screen is simple(not a viewfinder) but is a step up from current camera settings method.  I haven`t changed my camera settings since I set them.  In my opinion the price drop makes the original Gopro Hero a even better camera, since I`m getting the same HD quality.  Take advantage of new lower Gopro Pricing and available Gopro Coupons.
